Bryan Witt of Browntown breeds 100,000th cow
July 19th 2016

July 19, 2016, Waupun, Wis. – Bryan Witt, Browntown, Wis., recently celebrated with family, friends, and co-workers the insemination of his 100,000th first-service cow on July 18, 2016, at the Kevin Makos Farm, Argyle. As a member service representative (MSR), Witt provides professional artificial-insemination (A.I.) and heat-detection services to dairy and beef producers in southern Wisconsin.

Witt has been working for East Central/Select Sires for 30 years. He says his favorite part of the career is working with the people ... his customers; his work territory encompasses most of Lafayette County.  Bryan says his favorite memory from working at East Central comes from his first employee awards banquet.  “As a seasoned employee received an award for 25 years of service, I told Rod Alton (another A.I. technician) that I would never see that day … and here I still am, 29 years later!”

Bryan has been married to his wife Amy for 27 years and has two children.  Bryan is active on the Green County Fair Board, serving previously as both the president and vice president.  In his free time, Bryan enjoys hunting, fishing, and showing cattle.

East Central/Select Sires is a professional-, artificial-breeding cooperative serving dairy and livestock producers in southern Wisconsin. As a member-owner of Select Sires located near Plain City, Ohio, East Central/Select Sires helps make up the largest A.I. cooperative in the world. They provide highly-fertile semen as well as excellence in service and programs to achieve the basic objective of supplying livestock breeders with America’s best genetics at a reasonable price.
