Sime selected as East Central/Select Sires Communications and Marketing Intern

WAUPUN, WI- Kelly Sime was recently hired as the East Central/Select Sires summer Communications and Marketing intern. In this position she will assist in a variety of projects involving writing, editing and graphic design, and will represent East Central/Select Sires at various events throughout the summer. Sime grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Stoughton. Her parents, Bruce and Kim, milk about 140 Holstein and Brown Swiss cows and run about 500 acres of cropland. On her family farm, she takes an active role in selecting matings for cows and heifers as well as assisting in every day chores. Sime will be a senior this fall at UW-Madison double majoring in Dairy Science and Life Sciences Communication with a business emphasis. On campus she is actively involved with the UW-Madison Collegiate Dairy Judging Team, Association of Women in Agriculture, and Badger Dairy Club where she serves as a Selections Chair for the upcoming 15th Badger Invitational. “Kelly brings with her a great deal of writing and graphic experience, as well as a passion for the dairy industry,” said Jen Staudinger, East Central/Select Sires Communications Specialist. “We are very excited to work with her.” East Central/Select Sires is a professional, artificial breeding cooperative serving the dairy and livestock producers in southern Wisconsin.
